I’m sitting here, waiting for my doctor to see me, and as usual, my mind is wandering.  What I’m hoping is that this will be the first of many blog postings, and my further hope is that someone finds these ramblings of interest to them.  Isn’t that what everyone on the blogsphere hopes? Granted, based on the amount of noise you on the web, someone is reading these things, otherwise no one would bother writing them.

Considering how random my thoughts, musings and ideas tend to be, coupled with the diverse interests and hobbies I have, this blog/web site will not have any uniform “theme”, as my life is like this blog, random noise.

This will not be a tech blog, a comic forum, or a web comic with a gaming theme.  These are already out there, and honestly, I have only a passing interest in all of these things.

At best, this will be part semi-professional portfolio, unofficial slacker portal site, and graveyard for the random things I find on the Internet.

I recently got a message from MySpace saying that my URL was going to be “expired” due to lack of activity.  I can’t blame them for wanting to repo the url, I haven’t been on since late June (much like this blog).

Like you,  I spend my life on the Interwebs, but that’s my job.  I’m also not that social (trying to work something out on that one) but I do have friends.  Most people on my MySpace page, I know in real life, or knew at some point before we lost touch (sorry, it happens).  Same as on my Facebook and LinkedIn.

Twitter is the only exception, which makes me wonder if I’m more interested in people I don’t see every day, or I’m just stalking some of my favorite personal heroes.

For those of you who may not be in the know, I’m a web developer.  One of the platforms that I do quite a bit of work on, is WordPress.  You may have seen a plug-in or two with my name on it, as well as a few blogs I’ve built using the platform.

I keep getting asked many of the same question by my users, and I’ve decided to roll them up into various tutorials and instructions, in easy to consume videos.

I’ll be posting them onto the site as they come out, and without further ado, here’s the first one after the jump.
