As someone who is doing both Freelance and salary work, I’m in somewhat of an influx, but this article definitely has made take a critical look at my current ‘situation’. As I read this, I feel that I am on that cusp of a newborn freelancer, since I still very much enjoy what I do and it doesn’t feel like work, transitioning to what the author has become, a jaded freelancer, whose passion now leaves him bitter. Indeed, 10+ years of working in IT has made me lose interest in server hardware and desktops, but I still have the same passion with code that I’ve always had, since those early years on the Commadore 64.
